Mandala hang drum is the first

The top (Ding) side has a center note hammered into it with 8 tone fields hammered around it. The bottom is a simpler surface that has a rolled hole in the center with a tuned note that can be created when the rim is struck.

Two weeks of yoga in the holy city of Rishikesh led me to a calm that resonates with the peaceful sounds I can make (with ridiculously little effort) using this App. I do wish the changed scales sound as melodious as the starting ones, but I can amuse myself a lot with the one range. Ive always wanted a marimba, and this is very close to one.
Great sound, very interesting tone control --- and best of all, its a free app that doesnt visually YAMMER at you to buy, try or rate! Its ON when you open it (no menu or promo screens to leaf through), and the ads are so discreet they make you curious rather than bored or annoyed.
Lovely, lovely bongs. It can indeed sound like a marimba, or a steel drum. I love this app, and I hope all its virtues dont get "improved" away.

Ive always wanted a real hang drum. Till I get my hands on one... I can now "play" and practice on this app. Id like to be able to play the notes between the notes.... But this is just incredible. I got the app on my iPhone and iPad, but what a difference on the iPad... Now need to get a bigger screen on the iPad!!!!
Original app for realistic oriental gong sounds, though the circular arrangement of the different tones is not intuitive. Very soothing.
Some bad moments
Nice concept for an app, as I love the hang drum but its difficult to get hands on one. That said, the graphics on the app are dated and confusing; overlapping circles, not all of which are targets. The sound is passable but lacks the sustain and richness of the real thing, really sounds more like a steel drum pan. Also has latency problems, which is a problem with a percussion instrument. Would be a lot better if you could change the tuning - seems a nobrainer in making a virtual version of this instrument. Overall I was disappointed with the app and will seek out a replacement.

It sounds amazing when using headphones or other exterior speakers! Super fun to play with!
I love this app! Though the only thing I would change is if the panhand, actually looked like a panhand
